Miss Houston is preparing for missionary work for homeless Children in Monterrey, Mexico

Melissa Houston was born on December 4, 1980 to Wesley and Stephanie Houston. She has one brother, Kenneth Houston. At six years of age, Melissa’s parents shared the gospel of Christ with her, and she accepted Jesus’ finished work of salvation on the cross.

When she was 10 years old, Melissa felt the call of God to go to the mission field at junior camp. This decision was made public at her home church, Worth Baptist Church. When a group of teens from Worth went on a mission trip to Mexico, she joined them. While there, God broke her heart for the people of Mexico. As a result, she has given her life to take the gospel to the people of Mexico.

In 1999, she enrolled in Pensacola Christian College, to study the Bible and Missions. In 2003, she graduated from P.C.C. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Missions. Melissa has finishing deputation, and has been living in Monterrey, Mexico since June 2008.  She is now working with Danny and Michelle Jones, helping win the children of Mexico to Christ. This is where her heart lies, so please pray for the children, that they would accept Christ, which is what they need most of all.
