Rev. Charles and Connie Nixon, Missionaries to the American Indian

Charles was born and reared on a farm in Ouinter, Kansas. He received a degree in Animal Husbandry form Kansas State University in 1951. He and Connie were married in September of 1951.

Connie was born in Fort Scott, Kansas, and was saved in 1946. She has a registered nursing diploma from Kansas State University, Arlington Baptist College and Harris School of Nursing.

Charles was saved in January of 1966 and called to preach in 1968. In 1975, the Nixons moved to Texas to attend Arlington Baptist College, graduating in 1978. While attending Arlington Baptist College, the Nixons served in the Burleson Boulevard Baptist Church and Worth Baptist Church working in the bus ministry. It was while at Worth that Bro. Charles met a man through whom God laid the burden of the Indian reservations of North Dakota on Charles’ heart. Charles and Connie were sent out by Worth Baptist Church as missionaries to the North American Indians in July of 1978. They were approved by the IBFI as missionaries in 1984.

Charles and Connie have been serving in the area of the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana and the Fort Berthhole Reservation in North Dakota since 1988.

The Nixons have seven children: Charles, Thomas, Trudy, David, Lisa, Laurel, and Christopher. These are all married and located in various locations in the United States.
