Worth Baptist Church

Glen Garden Country Club is hosting a Gospel Singing Concert and Banquet, Friday evening, September 17.  The Worth Baptist Men's Quartet, Proclaim, will be one of the featured gospel groups in the concert.  The meal will be $12.95 and will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the concert to follow.  Please call Sam Shafeeq at Glen Garden (817-535-2177) to make your reservation.

A new independent, fundamental Baptist church is being started in the Burleson/Crowley area.  We have been asked to help them pass out fliers on Saturday morning, September 18, from 10 a.m. to noon.  A van will leave Worth Baptist at 9:30 a.m. to take a group down or you can meet at the new church facility located at 817 SW Alsbury in Burleson.

Then on October 10th there will be a fund raising BBQ after the morning service.The Master Club will be preparing Pulled-Pork BBQ with all the fixin's to help raise funds to cover badges and other related expenses for Master Clubs.  The cost will be $8.00 per person with a limit of $32.00 per immediate family. Tickets go on sale September 19.

We need your help to update and improve our ministry records.  Please pick up a Membership Information sheet from your Sunday school class or the lobby, fill it out, and turn it in at the bookstore or church office as soon as possible.  We would like every member who is 18 years of age or older to fill one out.  This will be a great help to the ministries of Worth Baptist Church.  Thank you!

Ladies,Our annual retreat is fast approaching!  We will be going to Southland Christian Camp on Thursday, September 30 through Saturday, October 2.  If you would like to go with us please turn in your deposit of $25.00 to Peggy Riggsby.

If you would like to go with us on our trip to Branson your full payment needs to be turned in to Mrs. Weaver by Sunday, September 5th.

We need a Unit Head/Teacher for our First Grade Sunday School Class. Let me know if you have any children's teaching experience.  We also need someone to teach the First and Second Grade Children's Church during the morning Worship Service.  If you are interested in helping in either of these areas please let me know as soon as possible. A special bulletin board will soon be made available for members to post items for sale, trade, or services needed.  Mrs. Diana Harness is in charge of this.  Please see her for proper forms.  The bulletin board will be located across from Dr. Weaver's office between the library and the Mission Board.  Note: Nothing is to be put on the board until it is approved by Mrs. Harness and/or Bro. Riggsby.  No personal business items are permitted.

The Barbara Evan's Camp Fund was established to help provide scholarships for teens to go to camp. If you would like to contribute please be sure and mark your offering envelope clearly with "Barbara Evans Camp Fund." You may contribute to this fund throughout the year.
