Our Leadership Team
Pastor Tyler Gillit is thirty-three years old. He was born and raised in Midland, Texas. He was called to be the pastor at Worth in January 2016 after serving on staff for eight years. During his time on staff, he was the Youth Director, founder of the WBC chapter of Reformers Unanimous, Associate Pastor, and developed the short-term missions program.
He graduated from a Christian high school in 2001. He graduated with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree from The Crown College (Powell, Tennessee) in 2006 and with a Master of Ministries Degree from Crown Seminary in 2007.
Pastor Gillit is passionate about expository preaching and making disciples in Fort Worth and around the world.
Pastor Earl Sides and his family accepted the call to serve with Pastor Gillit at Worth Baptist in March of 2016. He is the Director of Discipleship and the Reformers Unanimous Ministry. He also teaches the Overcomer’s Sunday school class.
Bro. Sides grew up in Cleburne, TX and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of seven. When he was a freshman in high school, a new youth pastor came to Bible Baptist Church and moved a few houses from where the Sides’ lived and invited him to his youth group. God used that to begin to speak to Bro. Earl’s heart about surrendering to be a youth pastor. He attended Arlington Baptist College but God soon began to use him in the ministry. Bro. Sides has over thirty years of youth pastor experience in churches in Ohio and Texas. Before coming to Worth Baptist, he served as Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and Music Director at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne, TX under Pastor Charles Payne.
He is often asked to preach at camps and rallies around the country. He is so thankful to have many of his former teenagers who were in his youth ministry faithfully serving Lord around the country. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Christian Counseling degree from Louisiana Baptist University. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in Pastoral Theology. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Southland Christian Camp in Ringgold, LA.
He is most thankful for his wonderful family. He and his wife Niki have three sons, Cody, Colin, and Christian. Niki is a special education teacher. Colin presently attends West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA., and Christian will be graduating from high school in 2017 and going on to West Coast Baptist College. Cody, their special needs son, serves in the junior church ministry at Worth.
Bro. Sides loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys traveling, basketball and running, but he especially enjoys the game of golf!
Andrew has been with Worth since August 2008. He is the Minister of Music and teaches the Crossroads College Age Young Singles Sunday School class. Andrew leads the WBC music ministry including the Adult Choir, Orchestra, special music, Graphic Design and Audio/Visual Department.
Andrew is originally from Houston, TX where he met his wife, Rachel, when they were in junior high church youth group. He and his wife graduated from Pensacola Christian College in Florida in 2005 and were married that summer. Andrew and Rachel travelled full-time as a representative for the College preaching at churches and Christian Schools and led traveling singing groups across forty-seven states and Canada before coming to Worth.
Since they have come to Worth, Andrew and Rachel have been blessed with four children, Alayna, Hannah, June, and Mitchell. Andrew loves to see college students grow to be godly young adults who know Jesus through the sound preaching of the Word of God. Everyone around him knows he loves singing godly music and playing his viola.
Tony and his family moved to Texas and joined the staff of Worth Baptist church in September of 2016. Tony grew up in North Carolina and trusted Christ as Saviour as a teenager. He graduated from Crown College with a bachelor in Youth Ministry in 2006 and his Master of Ministry in 2007. He served in full time youth ministry at Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN from 2008-2016 under the leadership of Dr. Clarence Sexton.
Rachel and Tony were married in June of 2007 and have three children; Jonathan, Esther, and Joy. They are excited about assisting our pastor and helping young people and families in the Fort Worth area!

I was born in a “Catholic” family in which religion was not practiced. At the age of 16 years old I met the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at a Non Baptist church. It was at a youth meeting where the preaching of the Word of God was about the great love of God for man. There I realized that I needed the love of God, I accept that love and the gift of eternal life that God gave us through his Son Jesus Christ.
I came to a Baptist Church after realizing that this church, Salvation Army, believed that God’s salvation could be lost. I came to know, who is now my wife, at Castillo Fuerte Baptist Church in Guatemala City and was baptized biblically, put completely under water, in 1984.
In 1989, I findeth a wife and obtaineth the favour of the Lord. Doris and I were married in Guatemala and later the Lord blessed me even more with our first born son, Oscar. However, the blessings of God do not stop there, we arrived at this beautiful Country (USA) in 1991 at the Los Angeles CA International Airport. After a few months living in CA God led us to the Lone Star State, Texas. Here in Texas my second child, Bryan became the newest member of our family.
In the Summer of 1992 , we became members of Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas under the Leadership of Dr. B. Smith, serving the Lord in the Spanish Department under Pastor Enrique Gonzalez until 2011.
In January of 2012, after the leading of the Holy Spirit, we moved our membership to Worth Baptist Church and started serving our Lord almost immediately in soul winning and visitation. After realizing the necessity for a place to bring the new Spanish speakers converts, Pastor Weaver allowed me to start a Spanish Sunday School Class in February of 2013. God started blessing this new Sunday School and, by November of 2013, Pastor Weaver, Lead by the Holy Spirit and after weeks of prayer, took a decision. Worth Baptist Church would have a Spanish Department! After this decision Pastor Weaver called me to be part of the church staff as the Spanish Pastor. It is a great honor for me to serve God in this mission focused church.
After more than 30 years in the Baptist church I have served in many different ministries, both in Guatemala and the United States.
