Step One: Know that God Loves You God loves you and He has a plan for your life, both now and for all eternity. The Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." - 1 John 4:9 God doesn't just love "good" people or churched people - He loves all people! That includes you. Step Two: Realize that You are a Sinner The Bible says: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23 Sin is anything that I think, do, or say that breaks God’s law. All of us are guilty of choosing occasionally to disobey God in action, attitude or thought. The Bible says: "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you…" - Isaiah 59:2 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23 Our sins separate us from a holy God. They separate us from Him in life and in death. Those that do not receive Christ will spend eternity separated from God in a real place called hell. The Bible says: "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." - Revelation 21:8 Do you believe that you are a sinner? They are challenged to know and follow God's will by studying God's Word, other Christians, and through life’s circumstances. Teenagers have the opportunity to develop friendships and serve others. There are regular youth meetings, exciting activities, and ministry opportunities. Youth Leadership The Youth Ministry is led by Tony and Rachel Sengmany, who have served in local church youth ministries for 18 years. With a team of adult mentors, they help students grow in their love for God, knowledge of His Word, and service to others. Teens meet weekly for Sunday School at 10:00 AM and on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. They also enjoy monthly youth activities and annual events like summer camps, winter retreats, and mission trips. Ministry Purpose We believe that a biblical youth ministry is first a family ministry.
We desire to come alongside parents and teenagers to help them grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Every Christian teenager is challenged to commit their lives to God’s great mission:

Creation We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin. (Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11) The Total Depravity of Man We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved, and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.  (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Ephesians 2:l -3; 4:17-19) The Godhead We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit–each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2, 14; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Galatians 4:4-5; Philippians 2:5-8) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. Every child who rides on the bus can go to both children’s Sunday school and Junior Church. Children under seventh grade go to one of the Junior Churches mentioned above. Teenagers from seventh grade to twelfth grade have a morning service on the second floor of the Family Life Center. Recovery Pastor John Foster John Foster joined Worth Baptist’s staff in July 2016 in a custodial role while studying at Norris Bible Baptist Seminary. After graduating in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree, Majoring in Bible and a Minor in Church Ministry, John began and is currently pursuing Biblical Counseling Certification. In September 2022, John began leading the Overcomers Sunday school class, then in February 2024 took leadership of the Bridge to Recovery ministry. John and his wife, Holly, have been redeemed by God’s grace from the bondage of addiction, as well as other life dominating sins. God has called them to help others gain freedom over life dominating sin and live the abundant life Jesus came to give. Tyler Gillit Senior Pastor Pastor Tyler Gillit became Worth’s Senior Pastor in January of 2016 after he served on staff for eight years. Pastor Gillit graduated with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree from The Crown College in 2006 and a Master of Ministries Degree from Crown Seminary in 2007 and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2024. He and Tori were married in 2006 and they have two children, Will and Anna. He is passionate about expository preaching and making disciples in Fort Worth and around the world. Earl Sides Discipleship Pastor Pastor Earl Sides joined the Worth Baptist Church staff in March of 2016 as the Discipleship Pastor. He and his wife Niki have been married for over 30 years and have three sons, a daughter-in-law, and two fantastic grandchildren.   Pastor Sides has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Christian counseling and is certified as a biblical counselor by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Along with his other accomplishments, he serves on the leadership team of Bridge to Recovery Addictions Ministry, writing curriculum and assisting in training. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Southland Christian Camp.  Pastor Sides has over forty years of experience in ministry to teens, adults, and children. Cory McGuire Music Minister Cory McGuire serves as the Music Minister at Worth Baptist Church and leads the Crossroads Young Adult Sunday School Class. He also directs Camp Liberty, a summer ministry in Oakwood, Texas, dedicated to reaching young people for Christ. Cory grew up at Worth Baptist Church and joined the pastoral staff in 2019. He and his wife, Heidi, have served in full-time ministry since 2009, with previous roles in youth and music ministry in Abilene, Texas, and Minster, Ohio. When you arrive, look for our Guest Parking near the main entrance. One of our greeters will meet you at the door, answer any questions, and help you find the right classes for you and your children. You’re welcome to come a few minutes early and grab a cup of coffee, meet some folks, or get a quick tour of the campus. We’d love the chance to get to know you and your family! What to Expect for Your Children Our children’s programs are designed to support you as you disciple and lead your children in the truths of Scripture. Sunday school classes, children’s church, and Master Clubs all center on teaching the Bible in an engaging, interactive environment. We also provide a well-staffed nursery for each of our services. All children’s ministry workers have passed a background check and have completed certified safety training. Nursery
Our nursery is fully equipped and staffed to care for infants and toddlers through age 3. We also offer a private area for new moms to care for the needs of their babies. Children’s Sunday School
Our Sunday School program offers age-graded classes for children ages 4 – 6th grade. Children’s & Junior Church
During the morning service, we offer Bible lessons, songs, and activities for children ages 4 – 2nd grade. Also during the morning service, children in 3rd – 6th grade participate in a service designed to emulate the auditorium service. In the evenings, children ages 4 and older attend the main service with their parents. Nursery is provided for ages 3 and under. Teens
Our Junior and Senior High teenagers typically meet during the Sunday School hour in the upper level of the Family Life Center. Wednesday Evenings
On Wednesday evenings, children age 3 – grade 6 meet for Master Clubs at 6:20 PM during the school year and 7:00 PM during the summer, and teens meet for their own time of Bible study and prayer in the Family Life Center. Service Times & Location Sunday...
